Providing specialized care for diseases of the breast
Welcome to my practice
About Me
I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I moved east to New York City and graduated from Columbia University in 2006 with a B.A. in History. A late spring snowstorm prompted my move to Hawaii, which is now home. I moved to Hawaii for graduate school and my mentors ignited a passion for health care and my path turned to medicine. In 2015, I graduated from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and then General Surgery Residency at the University of Hawaii in 2020. Following residency, I underwent specialized breast surgery fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology from world-renowned experts in breast cancer at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, California.
When I was a surgical resident, my father was diagnosed with lymphoma. While I do not know what it is like to be diagnosed with cancer myself, I know what it is like to have a family member diagnosed. Although I was in healthcare it felt foreign. His oncology team provided my father and my family guidance when we felt lost. I hope to do the same for patients and their families.
I am passionate about breast cancer and breast health. I am especially passionate about access to care for all patients from Hawaii and the Pacific. When I am not treating patients I enjoy stand up paddling, running, and time with my kids at the beach or volleyball court.
